My doctor prescribed me Humira Injections. How should I store them?

Patient

My Multiple Sclerosis medication gives me headache, nausea and diarrhoea, should I stop taking it?

Pharmacist

It is important to adhere to your doctor’s instructions about your medications. We can reach out to your treating doctor to discuss what we can do to relieve your symptoms. For now, I can suggest some OTC medications that will help relieve your symptoms such as  Imodium.

Patient

Can I take an extra pill of Aspirin for my headache if Brufen does not work?

Pharmacist

Aspirin and Brufen both belong to the same class of medication and work via the same mechanism; therefore, you should not combine these two medications together.

Patient

What can I take for my headache if I am allergic to Aspirin?

Pharmacist

Panadol is a great option, however make sure you do not take Panadol Migraine as it contains Aspirin as well. If your headache attacks are frequent and painful, we can help refer you to a specialist.

I forgot my Dupixent injection outside the fridge for 3 hours. Should I throw it away?

Pharmacist

According to the leaflet, Dupixent can be stored at room temperature up to a maximum of 25°C (77°F) for a single period of no more than 14 days. This means that if your injection was only outside the refrigerator for 3 hours, it is still within the recommended storage guidelines. However, if you are unsure about the safety of your Dupixent injection, or if you notice any changes in the appearance or texture of the medication, it is best that we reach out and consult with your doctor to confirm it is still safe and effective for you.
